    Watering Can

    Sunday, August 23, 2009 15:57 No Comments

    STEP 1

Firstly, you must gain the quests, which come at levels 2, 5, 8, 11… basically every three levels. The amount you must water to complete these quests will increase as your level increases. Make sure you accept the quests before beginning the watering process.

    STEP 2

Now you must water, but not just any plowed land! (This is where many people get confused) For your watering to count you must only water plowed land that is dry (not the dark brown colour of ‘normal’ land) and it must have a growing (not a grown and harvestable) crop on it.

Now just water as many dry plowed squares with growing crops that you need for the quest.

    Country Story – Dog Quest

    Sunday, August 23, 2009 15:52 1 Comment

I’ve noticed on the forum that many people have been complaining about the dog quest (achieved at level 8). I have completed the quest and found it quite easy; I was finished within five days.

    STEP 1

You will probably need some more friends, and more importantly, friends that are also trying to increase friend points (FP). To do this, add more friends at the Find new friends forum. To do this, you will need to be a member of the Playfish forum. Post a topic there with the title ‘Looking for friends to complete dog quest’ or something along those lines. Add 15 people and begin the gifting process.

    STEP 2

Now many people don’t want to be wasting their money of $1000 items, so simply use 100 sticks or stones. These are equivelant to 10 FP. If you do not have 100 sticks or stones, send 50 at a time and just do it twice. If you don’t want to send sticks or stones, clickhere to see what else you can send to gain the 10 FP.

To send items, click on the stoage icon in the toolbar. It is located here..

Can now select the item you want to send (sticks and stones are under ‘Materials’ and drag that to the giftbox. A popup will allow you to choose who you want to send it to, and allows a message to be writen. I recommend ‘For FP ‘ as this lets the person know you are sending the item and that they should return it.

When you are sending out your ‘gifts’ make sure the person has agreed to sending the gifts back, and that they are quite active. Just do this by sending them a message asking if they’d like to help you with the dog quest. Also, try to choose more active people (generally with higher levels) to help you.

    STEP 3

When sending items to 15 or more people, it can get confusing about who you’ve sent items to and who you haven’t. I recommend drawing up a table with the person’s name and a couple of columns (representing the days). When you have sent an item to a person place a tally or tick next to their name. Once you have gained 100 FP with that person, cross them out. It will take three days to gain the nessecary points, so you should have at least three columns.

    STEP 4

Under no circumstances while doing the first three steps should you use the FP you’ve gained to protect your crops. What I mean by this is that you should not use friends whose FP you are trying to increase to look after your crops as this costs 10 FP. In other wordsdo not do this..

After completing the quest, if you cannot see your dog (he should be beside your house, he won’t be in storage), then reload the game, and that should work.

I honestly do not think that the quest is hard if you follow those four steps. You’ll have you’re dog in no time.
